A diaphragm pulsation damper, also known as a pulsation buffer, is a commonly used component in metering pump systems to eliminate pipeline pulsation and water hammer. It is an essential accessory for metering pumps.
PVDF pulsation dampers have excellent corrosion resistance, making them suitable for handling acids, bases, and other corrosive fluids. Pulsation dampeners made from PVDF exhibit outstanding tensile strength and toughness, allowing them to withstand certain mechanical stresses while maintaining performance in high-temperature environments. Additionally, PVDF pulsation dampers are lighter, reducing the overall weight of the system, which facilitates installation and maintenance. "The diaphragm pulsation damper adopts the design with upper shell,lower shell,and they are separated by a diaphragm in the middle,it is the most commonly used pulsation dampener. The biggest advantage is that the diaphragm separates the pre-filled gas from the liquid in the pipeline, which is convenient for maintenance. Under appropriate selection and pressure conditions, it can eliminate more than 90% of the pulses.
Capacity selection method: Multiplying the volume of each stroke (milliliters) by 10 the minimum volume that can reduce pulses by 90%."
Design features
*The diaphragm structure separates the medium and compressed gas to ensure long-term stable operation.
*Only the lower housing and diaphragm contact with the medium, and the diaphragm is made of rubber lined PTFE which processed by multi-directional rolling ,has good corrosion resistance and a long service life.
